We are pleased to announce the CFP for the 2022 #SMSociety Special Issue in Social Media + Society. Social Media + Society is a peer-reviewed, open-access scholarly journal that focuses on advancing the understanding of social media and its impact on societies’ past, present and future. The journal is published by SAGE and has a 5-yr Impact Factor of 5.771. The purpose of this special issue is to showcase the rich, cutting-edge, late-breaking research from #SMSociety scholars working in a wide variety of fields.
The Special Issue is open to all 2022 #SMSociety presenters (including presenters of papers, panels, workshops and tutorials) and is scheduled to be published in the Spring/Summer of 2023. We look forward to receiving your manuscript.

- Word Count: 8,000 words (excluding references and Appendices), but no page limit

- Peer-Review Process: All submissions will be peer-reviewed (double blind) by other authors who submitted to the special issue, and final decisions are adjudicated by the special issue editors.
- Peer-Review Requirement: For a submission to be considered, the lead author (or one of your co-authors) is required to peer review (double blind) three other submissions between Nov 20, 2022 and Jan 15, 2023.
- Allowed number of submissions: You may submit up to 2 submissions, but only 1 as a single or lead author
- All accepted papers are eligible for the full waiver of the APC (Article Processing Charge)
