#SMSociety Day 1 – Conference Digest for Authors

Dear #SMSociety authors!

We look forward to seeing you tomorrow via Zoom for the 1st day of #SMsociety 2022. If you have not already done so, we invite you to follow the conference’s Twitter account: @socmediaconf; that’s where you will find the latest info about the conference.

In the meantime, here are some helpful links to start the day and have a successful conference:

1) Attend Live Sessions

Check your inbox for an email from Eventbrite (sent on Saturday, July 16) for the conference Zoom Link. Alternatively, you can sign into your Eventbrite account to locate the Zoom access link.

2) Give a Lighting Talk

If you’ve signed up to give a 1-min lighting talk, you can find the date/time and confirm the presentation order here.

Please note that all times in the schedule are in Eastern Daylight Time (EDT). If you reside in a different time zone, use this convenient online tool to check the local time for your session.

3) Promote your pre-recorded 5-min spotlight video

We have uploaded all of your spotlight videos to the conference’s YouTube channel and created a designated page on the conference website to feature your videos.

The videos will be publicly accessible from the first day of the conference on July 18 until the end of August, 2022.

If you have any new information that can enhance your video, we invite you to use YouTube’s commenting feature to add it directly to your video. Also, for the rest of this week, please be sure to check and respond to any comments or questions as appropriate.

Finally, to promote your work, we invite you to use the conference hashtag #SMSociety, for example, by sharing a link to your video and supporting the work of your peers.
